Though the exact figures of those killed are often conflicting, press freedom organizations around the world agree through general consensus that Mexico is among the most dangerous countries on the planet to exercise journalism as a profession. More than 100 media workers have been killed or disappeared since 2000, and most of these crimes remained unsolved, improperly investigated, and with few perpetrators arrested and convicted.
One of them Salvador Adame Pardo, he was born on 10 January 1972 in the city of Michaocan De Ocampo, Mexico. He studied at Universitad Michoacan de San Nicolas de Hidalgo. Adame was broadcast reporter and publisher. He worked as the director of the local television station 6TV and had been working as a journalist for 20 years . Pardo had a wife Frida Urtiz and one doughter. Adame was a critic of the criminals. He was kidnapped in Nueva Italia, Michoacan on May 18, 2017. Interviewed by La Jornada journalist, relatives of Adame Pardo said that the journalist was intercepted by occupants of a new model black van. He was then held in a water purifying plant located on Avenida Lazaro Cardenas before being taken to Nuevo Corondiro village, according to witnesses. Fifteen hours after Adame Pardo's kidnapping was made public, neither the federal government nor the Michoacan state government made an official statement regarding the case. At the time of Adames Pardo's kidnapping, family memebers reported that the journalist had received anonymous threats because of his work.

In statemant on May 30, 2017, Michoacan Attorney General Jose Martin Godoy Castro said Adame's kidnapping might have been motivated by debts or personal problems, though he did not elaborate further. Other journalists, as well Adame's family, have criticized these statements as an attempt to criminalize Adame, and have called for a full investigation into his death.
